New from HPI Racing is a Heavy Duty Idle Gear for the transmission of the Baja 5B. This 20 tooth gear is precision machined from high carbon steel. With a smoother finish to the teeth and more precise roundness, this gear has less friction for quieter running, increased efficiency and longer life than the stock gear. A thinner profile provides weight savings over the stock gear for quicker acceleration and decreased overall vehicle weight.

The HPI D-Box Drift Assist Adjustable Stability Control System works on all HPI Racing and HotBodies vehicles. This system was specially developed for RC cars to assist in getting the perfect drift angle around the turns, but further research yielded benefits for every vehicle! From the Micros to the Baja, this Adjustable Stability Control System will assist your driving and overall car control.
All of this control is achieved with an ultra-small yaw control sensor that allows the Adjustable Stability Control System to detect your tail sliding, and the optimized automatic counter-steering prevents your car from spinning. It comes with a gain control function to adjust counter-steering according to the track surface condition and / or the amount of control assistance you are looking for.
Just connect the Adjustable Stability Control System to the steering servo and it will electronically assist your driving. The device weights only 6.7g. The Stability Control System / D-BOX is connected between the receiver and the steering servo and can be used with all radio gear using Futaba style connectors. This is the ideal hop-up part for the Sprint 2 - Stage-D Kit (#30401 and #30402) and #33432 Stage-D Conversion Set for the Nitro 3, and will also work in offroad trucks and buggies. Finally a lightweight option for speed sets and spur gears. This 56 tooth spur gear comes with an 18 tooth RR pinion, for increased top speed. Our gears are made with proper tooth profiles so the total number of teeth will always be 74. For example: 17/57, 18/56, 19/55 and so on.  These gears are made from a tough and durable material that resists wear and allows for a significant reduction in rotating mass allowing for quicker acceleration and more power being delivered to the rear wheels.

These high quality injection molded gears are currently offered in the stock 57 tooth size, and more sizes will be coming soon.

Until now, the 2 pins that hold the spur gear cover onto the gear plate were available only with part bag 85436 - spur gear mount set , costs almost $10 and only comes with 2 black pins. Now available from  are bags of 4 replacement pins, 2 for the cover and 2 extra for spares. Available in black, white, orange, red and blue. These parts have been strengthened with increased wall thickness, the holding tabs have been enlarged to increased holding power and are made of a stronger material.

This gear cover has a slot machined into the back side so it holds onto the gear plate securely from both sides.

Brand new from PhatDad-RC, here are the cross over dogbones. The new DogBone material is the same steel and heat treatment used on High performance off road drive axles and in transfer cases (hence the name, "cross over"). These new Dogbones are a high performance precision made drive axle for your Baja 5B/5T. Diameter is 8mm, and they are 3mm longer than stock, just long enough to help them stay put in the cups but you still want them plunging. 

Made using a BEEFY 10-32x3/16 made in the USA external Knurled point set screw.
These set screws are made from hardened steel RCH 37-45c. They have superior vibration-resistance and positive self locking. The dowel pins are the same high quality parts.
