They are constructed of Billit Aluminum centerlinks 8.65 mm in diameter . The Rod Ends are steel and are radial load rated @ 2074 lbs. The Ball Bearing is 52100 steel, precison ground, heat treated, hard chrome plated. The body of the rod ends are C1045 heat treated steel.These weigh in @ 34.80 grams each assy. stock assy weighs 38.13 grams with balls. The IRP Turnbuckles have both right hand and left hand threads for simple,extremely accurate, and very smooth on car toe adjustment. These will eliminate the " popping off" issue that the stock plastic rod ends have due to the plastic wearing out over time. they also greatly reduce, if not ,eliminate the" steering slop " that the stock set up creates. Each includes M4 x 0.7 Stainless Socket Head Screws with lock nuts, and complete installation instructions.

These new Billet Standoff Spacer Kits replace the stock, flat plastic spacer and include a spacer for the inner rod end as well. These are a 1 piece 3 step design that have multiple benefits. 1) they are a sleeve design that fit into the rod end ball and eleminate ALL OF THE STEERING SLOP. the IRP turnbuckle allready reduced the slop without the new standoff and now it is all eleminated. this is very important to Oval and On-road racers when setting the toe, as well as dirt course racers when track conditions change. another benefit of the sleeve design is just that much more strength at the rod end. 2) With the 2nd step in the spacer design being the exact diameter of the ball allows for maximum articulation of the suspension arms and improves the overall steering geometry thus decreasing the likelyhood of of binding on the servo wiper arm when and if you have that nasty one wheel lander right or left side. 3) With the 3rd step being the same diameter as the stock plastic spacer you will not lose the surface area against the outer steering arm and the inner servo wiper arm. now with that said the 3rd step was critical in the design to allow the maximum articulation.the stock plastic spacer is flat and has the tendency to bind when the suspension is maximum compressed. These standoff spacers were originaly designed for the guys running the FLM extended a-arms. the FLM stock turnbuckles created a tremendous bind on the servo wiper arm when the suspension was compressed and they also have the so called " bad spot " during suspensin articulation. that issue has now been resolved. During the testing process we discovered that these standoff spacers also worked very well and improved the stock length turnbuckle sets as well. these kits are an excellent upgrade for all IRP Turnbuckles. Included are 2 stainless M4x22mm socket head screws to replace the stock length M4x18mm.

At Gabe Brown Engineering we wanted to get the baja 5b to drive better and to do that we needed to address the steering servo. The oversized servo that comes stock on the baja is excellent for RTR use but we at Gabe Brown Engineering cannot leave the steering performance of the Baja 5b alone. We wanted to help the car keep the rear from coming around to the front during hard cornering. In order to catch the rear end we needed a better servo and we chose the JR 8711 brush less servo for the steering duty. With the Torque: 403 oz/in @ 6.0v and Speed: .15 sec/60 @ 6.0v this servo delivers very precise steering and the car is easier to drive. Featuring two ball bearings, digital circuitry, an unbreakable metal and nylon gear train. Red anodized heat sink. This is the premier servo in the JR line. If you like power, this is the servo for you. Keeping the stock geometry of the stock servo location and height, a new adapter plate was designed and fitted to the existing radio tray/servo mount so no modifications are needed to install the Pro Mount. To complete the bolt on component package a billet aluminum servo arm comes with the adapter plate. Using the stock mounting screws and the provided hardware that comes with the GBE Pro Mount, the installation is straight forward. There is no binding or any clearance issues to worry about. As with all of the GBE line of large scale R/C performance components the GBE Pro Mount and servo arm are CNC milled from 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum and polished to a brilliant shine.
